Dr. Margit Sheinmel, DO
Dr. Sheinmel graduated from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2004. She completed her Family Medicine Residency in July 2007. Subsequently, she was employed in a Community Health Center as a National Health Service Corp recipient. She joined our medical team in January 2010 to provide Primary and Preventive health care to our clients. Dr. Sheinmel is trained in Osteopathic Manipulation and is fluent in Spanish.
Melissa Bunker, ANP
Melissa studied nursing at Baylor University in Texas. She graduated in 1998 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and in 2002 with her Master's. Prior to acquiring her Nurse Practitioner designation, Melissa worked as an obstetrics nurse in Dallas. For the past eight years, she has practiced family medicine in both an outpatient clinic and an urgent care/emergency room setting. She is Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Dr. Bill Richardson, DMD
With more than eight years experience in dentistry, William Richardson, DMD, joined SVTHC as Dentist and Dental Director in 2008. He graduated in May, 2003 from the University of Florida School of Dentistry. Prior to moving to Homer, he worked in bush Alaska for five years. During this time he provided comprehensive dental care to patients in the rural community of Dillingham, and remote Native villages located in over 40,000 sq miles of wilderness. Dr. Richardson has been recognized for excellence in prosthodontics. He enjoys flying, hunting, and being with his beautiful wife and one year old daughter.
Jennifer Hayes, RDH
Originally from Manhattan, Montana, Jennifer Hayes attended ODS College of Dental Sciences/Oregon Institute of Technology. She graduated with her Bachelors of Sciences in Dental Hygiene in August 2010. She moved to Homer the following month and began working at SVTHC as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She is thrilled to be a newcomer to Homer and looks forward to becoming a part of the community, and indulging in the Alaskan lifestyle.
Donna Fenske, ANP
Donna Fenske has been with SVT Health Center since March 2007. Donna has been Public Health Nurse for twenty-five years living in Homer since 1978. She graduated from University of Alaska Anchorage with her Masters of Science and Nurse Practitioner in 2006. Donna provides care to patients at the SVT Health Center - Seldovia.
